The Tester is a member of
a team which plans, constructs, and executes product tests, system
tests, unit tests, load tests, volume tests, network tests as well as
works with others for release control processes. The more experienced
Tester manages, plans, constructs, and executes tests and integrates
with release control process. Testers have or gain significant business
application knowledge.
• 50% Testing
• 50% Communication with business unit. Tester will gather requirements and verify the accuracy of
the requirements with the business unit. Scan for security issues and
report/consult with the business unit about potential security
breaches/concerns.
• Creates test models for product test and release control (plans, data, and scripts)
• Conducts structured walk-throughs
• Executes assembly or product tests
• Meets time estimates for assigned task
• Communicates accurate and useful status updates
• Follows quality standards
• Develops contingency plans as needed
•
Studies and evaluates business problems and operations to produce
feasibility, scope and objective, and cost benefit reports including
cost and time estimates.
• Analyzes business problems and
operations in depth, considering limitations imposed by current
automation environment, time requirements, personnel and financial
resources, and desired results to develop functional requirements for a
proposed system including cost and time estimates for subsequent phases.
• • Prepares documents of
understanding, automation system design plans, and detailed
specifications to identify system design requirements including cost and
time estimates for subsequent phases and facilitate the development and
implementation of automation systems.
• Implements enterprise-wide systems to place system in operational status.
•
Maintains assigned systems including developing estimates, prioritizing
and scheduling resources, updating documentation, and applying control
techniques to keep systems operational.
• Participates in reviews and walk-throughs of
feasibility reports, functional requirements, system design, program
specifications, coding, test plans and results, and documentation
packages to minimize system problems and assure quality control.
• Manages assigned projects and oversees the work of
technical staff engaged in system design, development, and maintenance
activities to provide project oversight, support, and coordination.

Performs special projects as assigned to respond to special needs or
develop procedures and standards to control system development process.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• Years of experience: less than 2 years
• Expert experience in Microsoft Office including Visio and Excel
• Strong communication skills; both written and spoken
• Work in a team environment
• Design, conduct, and evaluate systems testing.
• Research and evaluate the suitability of automation software and hardware products.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Lead, coordinate the activities of, and provide technical support to project teams.
• Plan, oversee, and evaluate the work of technical subordinates
• Write test scripts and queries

PREFERRED:
• Local candidates highly preferred
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
• Previous experience on Infor software.
