Description of Position:
Design, develop, and implement high quality cloud, platform, and infrastructure solutions that support the client’s business strategy. Deliver the scope of capability defined within project timeframes and budgets.
Deliver solutions that support client technology, architectural principles, mergers and acquisitions, and roadmap
Contribute within a world-class cloud engineering team in facilitating transition of client systems and applications into the AWS cloud
Identify and execute opportunities for automation, scale, and business self-service
Continuously improve infrastructure and platform agility, with an emphasis on more efficient merger and acquisition solutions
Continuously improve existing on-premise environments and processes
Ensure the cloud environments are engineered to high standards and are adaptable and scalable
Desired Technical Skills & Qualifications:
Overall cloud transformation expertise using Amazon Web Services (AWS) components like EC2 distributed instances, S3, VPC, & Elastic and Application Load Balancing (ELB)
Microsoft technology engineering experience, like Server versions 2008–16, Active Directory, etc.
Orchestration experience with Cloud Formation and/or Elastic Beanstalk
Exposure to monitoring technologies such as SCOM, CloudWatch, Nagios, and/or Splunk
Cloud transformation experience – SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, ideally with AWS
Minimum 5-7 years of information technology experience in roles of increasing complexity
Experience developing and automating scripts for scalable solutions (PowerShell, Python, AWS Cloudformation)
Hands on experience with:
CICD tools, such as Jenkins
Administration or troubleshooting of MS Terminal Server or Citrix applications
Migrating OOTB Windows Applications (client-server)
Experience scaling operations to support M&A activities is ideal
Foundational experience in a process-minded, well-organized professional, technical environment
Experience in Agile development, DevOps concepts a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Knowledge of the financial services and/or the insurance industry
